What is Maia3?+
Maia3 is a human-style chess model that predicts what real players at a given rating actually play, not just the engine-perfect move. It is what lets Santranc show you the move you should have found, not an unrealistic ideal.
Do I need a Chess.com or Lichess account?+
No. You can play and train entirely inside Santranc. If you do have an account, you can import your games for review by username, or simply paste a PGN.
Does it work offline?+
The core engines, Maia3 and Stockfish, run on your device, so analysis works without a connection. The AI Coach and online rated play require internet access.
How is my data used?+
Engine analysis happens on-device. AI Coach questions and cloud review send the relevant position to our servers and AI provider to generate a response. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
How do I cancel?+
Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings. If a free trial is offered, you can cancel before it ends to avoid being charged.
